Blue Rock introduced Great Clips to Hawaii in 2014 and has been growing their portfolio at a steady clip ever since. They continue to take market share from SuperCuts who was the only & dominate player in the category for years in Hawaii. Oahu is the primary focus with the long term possibility of expanding to Maui once critical mass is achieved on Oahu.
Kona Brewing Company was founded in the spring of 1994, with a dream to create fresh, local island brews made with spirit, passion and quality. It is a Hawaii-born and Hawaii-based craft brewery that prides itself on brewing the freshest beer of exceptional quality, closest to market. Blue Rock advised in the expansion of the retail operations to Oahu and then growth of the original site in Kona. This included a brewery facility that increased production capacity by 10x to over 100,000 barrels annually.
Located at the busy intersection of Vineyard Blvd. & Liliha St., Liliha Square is situated in a dense submarket of Honolulu. The approximately 40,000 square foot grocery-anchored neighborhood center also contains a condominium tower on site creating a tightly packed mixed use property. Ownership is looking to rebrand & reposition the retail aspect of the asset and has enlisted the Blue Rock to advise on the project. The scope of work will include, among other items, new imagery, recladding the entire fascia, all new common areas & furniture and a new tenant mix.
