
America’s Mattress Hawaii was founded by Chris Eldridge in 1996 as a one person operation but eventually grew become the largest sleep shop chain in Hawaii with nine stores throughout the State. These locations were identified and secured by Blue Rock Partners as part of a strategic, state-wide rollout to both create critical mass as well as generate interest as a takeover target. The portfolio caught the eye are larger national players and over the course of 2017 & 2018, the portfolio was purchased by two subsequent ownership groups. The portfolio is currently owned by Steinhoff International Holdings with the retail brand name of Mattress Firm.

Pi is a fast-casual concept specializing in handcrafted, farm-to-oven Neopolitan-style pizzas prepared in their blistering 800-degree wood-burning brick ovens. They feature a custom, build-your-own pizza bar utilizing local farm-to-table toppings and artisan ingredients. Also serving oven-roasted sandwiches, soups, fresh salads and small specialty plates. PI has one current location on Front Street in Lahaina, Maui that was secured by Blue Rock Partners.

Founded 50+ years ago by the late Robert Sosnick, REDICO (Real Estate Development Investment Company) located in Southfield, Michigan, is a trusted leader across the spectrum of national real estate arenas. Their national real estate expertise offers a diverse portfolio of capabilities including: real estate development, investment, asset management, property management. Blue Rock facilitated the disposition of a coveted piece of developable land in the tight trade area of Pearl City on Oahu. The assignment included the completion of a CPR on the property and the eventual sale of the property for a higher than expected trade price.

Teddy’s Bigger Burgers started in Hawaii in 1998 and has sizzled the island of Oahu with its quality burgers and shakes ever since. In 2008 Teddy’s ownership indicated a desire to do an aggressive rollout of the concept across Oahu and enlisted Blue Rock to advise & facilitate the effort. Over the span of the next eight years, the portfolio of units grew from three up to ten on Oahu and also the first unit on Maui in Lahaina. Teddy’s continues be regularly voted as Hawaii’s best burger by multiple retail publications.

Founded in 1994 and headquartered in Dallas, Texas, Wingstop has more than 600 restaurants open across the United States, Mexico, Russia and Southeast Asia. The “Wing Experts” menu features classic and boneless wings with 10 intense flavors and are always cooked to order, sauced and tossed. Blue Rock helped to debut Wingstop in Hawaii with securing their first two locations. Both are located on Oahu, beat projections in their first several years and continue to produce solid volumes.
